El Futuro a Escena: young theatre showcase at Sala Cero

Event Description

From June 17 to 28, Seville once again becomes a meeting point for performing arts lovers with "El Futuro a Escena", the annual young theatre showcase that brings together new talents in acting and theatrical creation.

The season will take place at Sala Cero Teatro (Calle Sol, 5), a landmark venue in the city where students from different schools present their end-of-year productions to the public. A perfect opportunity to discover the emerging talent that will shape the future of Seville theatre.

For almost two weeks, attendees will enjoy a highly varied programme combining adaptations of great classics, original works and contemporary proposals. Each performance reflects the personality and creativity of its young performers, offering a different experience at every show.

This edition features companies and schools such as Dos Lunas Teatro, Viento Sur Teatro, Acontracorriente Teatro, the Víctor Carretero Workshop, Núcleo Duro Teatro and the Pilar Miró Women's Association, among others.

June 18 – Desde las entrañas
An intense play that invites you to explore the deepest emotions and personal conflicts.

June 20 – Desde la piel
A production where identity, emotions and the body take centre stage.

June 21 – Yerma
Federico García Lorca's well-known play returns to the stage, reinterpreted by a new generation of actors.

June 23 – Unexpected
A contemporary piece that breaks with traditional structures and embraces experimentation.

June 24 – Bohemia en Sevilla
A story that pays tribute to Seville's artistic life, mixing humour, music and social critique.

June 25 – El Rodaje
A performance that plays with the boundaries between fiction and reality, keeping the audience in constant surprise.

June 26 – El teatro es un asco
An irreverent proposal that uses humour and irony to reflect on the world of theatre itself.

June 27 – Fátima
An intimate, emotionally charged play notable for the closeness between performers and audience.

June 28 – El Olimpo de los Clowns
The showcase's grand finale arrives with a show full of humour, creativity and energy.
